Ingredients: Beetroot (thinly sliced) 2
Coconut (grated) 2 tbsp
Oil 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Onions 1 chopped
Curry leaves 1 sprig
Red chillies 3
Chana dal 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Procedure: 1. Add the oil in a wok
2. In a wok, add oil.
3. Add mustard seeds, chana dal.
4. Add onions, salt, and fry till brown.
5. Add the chopped beets. Cover and cook on low flame 6. Cook till the beets are 75% done.
7. In a blender, add the coconut, red chillies, and turmeric powder.
8. Grind this coarsely without water
9. Sprinkle this on top of the cooked beets. Mix well
10. Cook on low flame for a minute and then turn off the heat
