CHUTNEYS
COCONUT CHUTNEY

Ingredients:    Grated coconut     1 cup  
                        Green chilli          2

                        Ginger                 ½ inch

                       Garlic                  2 pods

                       Roasted gram      2 tbsp

                       Salt to taste

                For seasoning:   

                       Curry leaves        1 sprig     

                       Mustard seeds 1 tsp


Procedure:    1. Put all the ingredients in the blender (mixie) into a coarse paste.

                      2. Put the ground mixture into a bowl..

                      3. Season with mustard and curry leaves

                For seasoning:

                     5. Take a tbsp. of oil in a wok                            

                    6. Add mustard to it

                    7. When it splutters, add curry leaves.

                    8. Add this to the Chutney


Coconut is a superfood. it is rich in fiber. It contains carbs and protein Its low in Sodium and can be used in cooking. It helps prevent constipation.

TOMATO CHUTNEY

Ingredients:    Tomatoes         4 big chopped 
                        Green chilli     3 chopped

                       Onion              1 big chopped

                       Salt to taste

                       Oil


Procedure:     1. Pour 2 tablespoons of oil in a wok

                       2. Add the chillies

                       3.To this add the onions and the tomatoes

                      4. Add salt

                      5. Cool the mixture and grind it into a paste                                     


Tomatoes are a good source of Potassium, folate, and Vitamin K. It has lycopene which is an antioxidant and contains a lot of water. 

ROASTED GRAM CHUTNEY

Ingredients:    Roasted gram      1 cup
                       Garlic                  3 pods

                       Red chilli             3

                       Tamarind            a small piece

                       Salt to taste

                       Oil for seasoning


Procedure:     1.Put all the ingredients in the blender

                      2. Grind into a coarse paste. 

                     3. Put the ground mixture into a bowl

                     4. Add salt.

             For Seasoning:

                    6. Take a tbsp. of oil in a wok.                    

                    7. Add mustard to it

                   8. When it splutters, add curry leaves

                   9. Add it to the chutney.


Roasted gram is rich in protein. The protein and fiber in chickpeas may help keep your appetite under control. it helps manage your blood sugar levels. It promotes blood sugar management.

CORIANDER - MINT CHUTNEY

Ingredients:     Coriander leaves    a handful
                        Mint leaves              a handful    

                        Coconut –                 grated ½ cup

                       Red chilli                  3

                       Ginger                      ½ inch

                       Tomatoes                  3

                       Onion                       1

                       Oil                           2 tbsp

                       Salt to taste


Procedure:    1.Pour about 2 tbsp of oil in a wok.

                     2. Add the red chillies.

                     3. Then add the onions and then the tomatoes

                    4. Add the coconut. Mix well.

                    5. Now add the leaves and mix well.

                    6. Take off the fire and keep aside                       

                    7. Cool the mixture and then grind into a paste.
